Twice a year, the Minnesota fashion community holds Fashion Week MN (FWMN) to showcase local designers, brands, retailers, artists, influencers and photographers who participate in the local fashion scene. This spring, the FWMN fashion show series will be held April 23 – 29.

Come up with a creative hook
When planning a fashion show, think outside the box. What if you held your show in an unusual venue? Or, instead of models performing the traditional runway walk, they sit, stand, dance, or do something else out of the ordinary? Try to come up with a way to make your show stand out.
Assemble your team
It takes a village to throw a successful fashion show. You’ll need a lighting company and sound designer, a marketing team, hair and makeup, front and back of house show runners, and more. Make sure to hire people with fashion show experience.
Plan your set
